So I'm watching Jeopardy.
It is one of my absolute favorite shows,(STOP LAUGHING)and one of the answers is Howard University. Another one of the answers was Thurgood Marshall who attended Howard University and shares my birthday. I'm very good at Jeopardy even when there are no coincidences like that.

That made me happy. It really doesn't take much.

Another thing that made me happy today was the rainbow on my ceiling above my bed. I guess I had a CD on my bed that must have fallen of and the sun from my bathroom window combined with the sun in my bedroom somehow created a a beautiful rainbow on my ceiling right above the bed.

So I'm telling my mother that I think I have an eating disorder.
Her response " Z can't you controll that?"

Goin' On Vacation

1. What is your favorite mode of transportation when traveling? I love road trips. The only bad thing about them is that I hate public bathrooms. I also love to fly. It is always nice when you met interesting people on the plane.
2. If you had the means to travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? I've always wanted to visit Bali and England.

3. Have you ever been to another country? Yes I've been to Canada, Ivory Coast, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago. I don't remember the Ivory Coast or Switzerland.

4. If time were not an issue, how long would could you stand to be away from home? I'd say about 3 weeks.

5. What is the funnest or most interesting trip you've taken? I can't think of one.

1. Do you drink alcohol - if so, what are your favorite drinks? I like girly fruity drinks. I usually like anything without milk that is frozen. I think my all time favorite are Long Island Iced Teas.
2. If you drink & have been drunk - tell about one of those times. Everyone knows about the time in the cab...
3. Have you used drugs? If so, what ones (or is it a secret?) Never used drugs
4. If you haven't tried any - would you? If so, what ones would you consider? Probably not... I guess the only drug I would ever consider is MJ, but I've never really had the desire to try it. I'm crazy enough already with out being high. Most of my friends smoke though and they are always trying to get me to try it. I usually joke and tell them there is only one person I'd even consider smoking with.
5. If you don't do either of these - tell why? I guess all of those Nancy Reagan commercials as a kid worked.


I'm not doing much today. Partially because I'm broke and more because I'm exhausted. Sometimes doing nothing is cool with me, but I wish I had someone to do nothing with. I'm a little lonely.

My two favorite songs right now?

1. Native New Yorker by Odyssey
I cannot get enough of this song. I have the version with the nice long intro that just amps me up for the lyrics. While the intro playing I start to do this lil 'dance'. You can't really call it a dance it is a sort of bop and spin. The kinda you want to do when you hear Dancing Queen by ABBA. Another happy songs. That is what they are. You just gotta smile when you hear the first ooooooosss. I can listen to this song at least 4 times in a row. I guess I think it is my theme song. Except I don't live anywhere near East 83, and I still think that love is like a Broadway show (sometimes). I love the subway and I guess I talk the 'street talk'. Oh I don't know but I do know I just love that song.


2. My Nasty Grind by Adina Howard
Everyone remembers Adina Howard from that "Freak in da morning freak in da evening..." Freak Like Me song. She had a few other songs that no one probably remembers but I actually like her. I usually don't say that cause it just confirms the fact that I'm a freak. When people find out that my middle name is Adena (spelled with an 'E' instead of an 'I') their usual response is "Oh you must be a freak! No an undercover freak." It is really corny and but that is the response I get more often than not. I hate that so I usually leave out the part about really liking her when she was out. This new song is just as nasty but it has a nice melody and it is catchy so you might not notice what what you are singing at first. The video reminds me of a cheap imitation of D'Angelo's 'Untitled' but with some psychedelic shots. If that sounds kinda corny, it is. And I love it. I find myself trying to catch it on Midnight Love.

I also have an obsession with A Different World. I watch it every day at 12:00 and 12:30 on Oxygen. I know that once it finally clicks in my mind that I'm not going back to school this fall I'm not going to be able to watch it with out being sad. For now I can't get enough.

I'm so whack and I love it. It's funny when you realize that no one else is a better friend to you than you.

P.S. YAY I just won some spa package on the radio.... Happy Belated Birthday to Izzo. I think I deserve that.

Does anyone realize that New Edition is back? Is Bobby gonna be with them? Does anyone really care?

Summer Fun...
1. Pool party or picnic? Pool party.
2. Frisbee or volleyball? Volleyball.
3. Amusement park or local fair? Amusement park. I love rides and I don't trust the rides at local fairs, even though fairs have better food.
4. Ice cream or sno-cone? Sno-Cone.
5. Hot dog or hamburger? This one is hard I like em both. I'll go with hot dog as long it isn't the cheap kind. I like Hebrew National or Nathans.

I need to stop worrying about other people and focus on my own shit. I'm tired of trying to help people who don't want to be helped or take advantage.

This weekend is Brooke's baby shower, my best friend Ryan's passing the bar party and Jada (my best friend Tahira's daughter's) christening. My eating habits suck and I've been slacking when it comes to me. I need to refocus.

Well it may not have seemed like it from my last post but I tried very very hard to enjoy my birthday. For a minute I even thought it might happen. There was even a full moon the night before, but no such luck. I guess I'm just glad to be here in any case.

Since I didn't get to hang out with my best friend Tahira on my birthday we went out to dinner at Romano's Macaroni Grill . My food was excellent and one of the staff members sang Happy Birthday to me in Italian and everything. I had a really nice time and I got to see the baby. She's grown so much since the las time I've seen her. It is so weird but beautiful to see my best friend being a mother. I hope that I'll be a good mother one day.

I can't wait for my insurance to be finalized because lately I have been in a great deal of pain and completely exhausted. I know there is no cure for what they think I have but there has to be some type of relief from the symptoms.

I am in such a pissy mood. I don't wanna be feeling like this on my birthday!!!!! Maybe I'm having a quarter lif crisis, cause I'm a day away from being 25 yeah I said it) and my isn't going anywhere. The events of the past weekend have totally ruined any happiness that I was feeling concerning my birthday.

I think I'm going home today. I say think cause I am kinda tired and it takes a lot out of me to lug that damn bag around the city.

My friend Brooke just yelled at my on the IM saying that I had to come home so I guess I'm going. I gotta get ready then. :(
